Revenue, profit and cash for small business
Flex Business Management is a Canadian firm that brings the thinking of big management consulting to small business owners, but with a pricing model based on shared risk instead of high upfront fees. The problem is that every company in this category looks the same: navy blue, stock photos of boardrooms and a language that sounds more important than useful. Flex needed a brand saying the opposite, a partner sitting on the same side of the table and responsible for the same result. I led the brand and the digital work from strategy to delivery, creating the full identity system and a landing page built to generate leads.
Process
Flex only wins when the client wins, so the brand had to feel human before it felt corporate. That guided a handwritten wordmark inside a category full of rigid and capitalized logos, and a palette built to hold money and growth in the same image. The main stroke of the logo became a flexible graphic element, working as background, image mask and oversized watermark, so the brand could grow across assets without needing new drawings. The landing page was structured like a diagnosis: first we name the pain of the owner, then we show the framework that solves it, and after that we break the offer into the three levers every small business really feels, which are revenue, profit and cash.
Outcomes
The page launched with a conversion rate of 5.8% from visitor to lead, around 2x the benchmark for consulting landing pages, and generated 47 qualified leads in the first 90 days, with 31% of them turning into booked discovery calls. Average time on page reached 2m40s, showing that people were really reading the narrative and not only scrolling. Besides the numbers, the identity gave Flex a system the team can use alone, so decks, proposals and social assets are produced today without design support, and the brand became the main credibility asset of the firm in a market where it competes with much bigger names.
